Logistics Co-OrdinatorLocation Rest of NorthlandNorthland Job type Temporary Salary to Category Manufacturing/Operations > Store person & Warehousing » 12 Month Maternity cover » Weekly pay - paid Wednesday night » Competitive pay rates Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Co-Ordinator provides versatility to the Logistics Manager and will have the adaptability to work where directed in the Office or Factory. Benefits: » Competitive salary » Work with a great team » 12 Month fixed term contract, with potential to go longer. » Free onsite parking » Good work life balance This role will be Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm Key Tasks and responsibilities: » With the direction of the Logistics manager: » Actively utilising skills acquired to assist the factory, office or dispatch to meet all production and logistics KPI's. » Unloading and receipting in of inwards goods » Work closely with all of production & logistics to: » Ensure that all customer expectations are meet » explore and exploit all sales and profitable growth opportunities, calling on appropriate support and expertise as required. » Support inventory accuracy & record keeping » Support Production and Maintain Accurate data entry and record keeping » Support the Sales team to exploit to the fullest extent possible: » customer relationships » market knowledge of full product range. » Ensure the Company's assets are protected and effectively managed. » Support achievement of all safety targets in line with corporate objectives and legislative requirements, ensuring that all incidents are reported/recorded/managed in a timely way and that our client is not exposed to unnecessary risks or costs associated with HSE non-compliance. Skills/Attributes: Experience and Knowledge: » Demonstrated experience and ability in production, supervision, process flow, materials handling etc preferably gained within the steel or similar industry » Demonstrated successful experience in, and understanding of, customers' needs with the ability to augment customers' core product requirements to deliver customised value while obtaining acceptable financial return » Sound budgeting, planning and forecasting experience » Well-developed influencing skills » Sound problem solving and logical thinking skills » Ability to succinctly translate 'the complex' into 'the understandable' for customers at all levels Experience within roofing or building related industries would be highly regarded, as would familiarity with the Microsoft AX business software package, production experience, leadership. Educational Qualifications: » Excellent numerical, computer, mechanical / engineering skills » Ability to read, write and communicate effectively To be successful for this role you must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and must have the right to work in New Zealand.
