Predator Free 2050 is an ambitious goal to rid Aotearoa of the most damaging introduced predators that threaten our nation’s natural taonga, our economy and primary sector. Collaboration is vital between government agencies, councils, science providers, educators, innovators, businesses, NGOs, iwi, communities and individuals. Such combined effort is often called ?collective impact? and relies on organisations committing to a common, mutually reinforcing agenda, and a culture of continuous communication and co-operation.
He angit?tanga | About the function
We’re excited to announce a new opportunity for a Senior Partnerships and Engagement Lead to join Te Papa Atawhai’s Partnerships Group. In this function, you’ll be accountable for leading the development, progress and implementation of critical actions for our Te Tai Tokerau Predator Free 2050 five-year pathway plan.
This is a true engagement and facilitation function where whakawhanaungatanga will be a foundation principle all over your mahi. You’ll be proactive and driven to build strong networks and identify opportunities to collaborate or align communication and engagement activities, from organising or facilitating workshops and trainings, to developing and implementing systems, processes, tools and templates that will strengthen relationships across the Te Tai Tokerau PF2050 ecosystem. This will in turn support long-term gains from a multi-million dollar investment via Jobs for Nature projects in the region, many with a predator control focus.
this function requires the capability and availability to travel regionally as required. A current valid drivers licence is essential.

   » broad engagement practice working in collaborative functions/programmes;
   » Demonstrable knowledge of communications and engagement practices, techniques, concepts and theoretical principles;
   » Good knowledge and knowledge of Te Papa Atawhai’s function in Jobs for Nature and Predator Free 2050 activities;
   » Stellar relationship-building expertise combined with prosperous practice in engaging with senior/executive leaders;
   » Strong cultural capcapability and consciousness - is able to engage with and commit to Te Tiriti through iwi, hap? and wh?nau partnership, prioritising tangata whenua needs;
   » Confidence in facilitating discussions and workshops with diverse groups; and
   » Strong planning expertise combined with the capability to work autonomously and self-direct.
