Working at VIP Transport offers a unique practice. Information technology presents an exciting challenge for those in search of Administrative Support function with a difference.
VIP Transport is seeking an Administrative agent to deliver service excellence to Ministers and Ministerial offices, our regionally located depots and all our valued clients.
This is a busy and varied position - no two days are the same! If you value teamwork and enjoy juggling competing priorities, while delivering the very best of service, this could be the position for you.
In this position you will be providing operational support, finance and invoicing, and best practice advice to support the VIP Transport team of managers and regional coordinators. You'll also be responsible for supporting process improvement initiatives within VIP Transport, ensuring we are the pre-eminent provider of transportation services to Ministers and other entitled clients. We require the very best of service, so Information technology is essential that you are diplomatic, proactive, reliable and methodical in your approach to work.
This position would suit candidates who have:
· a proven history of achievement in the delivery of high-quality services;
· expertise of, and practice working with, public sector requirements, processes, codes and guidelines;
· proven financial practice, including sound expertise of financial ICT systems and intermediate level Excel expertise;
· well-developed verbal and written communication expertise;
· highly developed relationship management expertise - prosperous candidates will have the proven capability to quickly establish, build and maintain effective working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders;
· effective planning and co-ordination expertise, with the capability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to competing and changing priorities;
· strong attention to detail and the capability to take responsibility for completing tasks set; and
· excellent judgement and critical thinking expertise – practice interpreting and applying legislation, policy and guidelines within a politically sensitive environment would be beneficial.
Day-to-day you will be supporting Ministers offices and the VIP Transport team with financial processes, invoicing and administration. You will have the demonstrated capability to work well as a team player and collaboratively across teams. A flexible approach to work is valued, along with excellent communication expertise.
