Takawaenga Akoranga | Learning Facilitator
Auckland Art Gallery Toi o T?maki is a cultural leader in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our purpose is to be a creative catalyst for art and ideas, offering transformational practices that strengthen and enrich our communities.
As aTakawaenga Akoranga | Learning Facilitatoryou willdeliver interactive learning practices that embrace, share and unlock creativity, imagination, and exploration in ways that cater to a wide variety of learners, from early childhood through to tertiary education.
Whether delivered onsite at the Gallery or through our outreach programmes, you will collaborate with our dedicated Akoranga | Learning team and Kai?rahi to ensure that every learner receives a memorable and enriching practice. You share knowledge and practices to create deeper knowledge through art, connection and aroha.
We are seeking for a new team of dedicated individuals with varied backgrounds, specialities and lived practices to work with us on a casual contract basis. We can offer flexibility on how the hours are spread over the week, which can be discussed at the interview. While most of your work will take place during regular Gallery hours, occasional evening and weekend commitments will be required to ensure the success of our programmes and events.

   » Welcoming and personable, you have a flexible and curious mindset, open to learning new interactive facilitation techniques and tools.
   » You are a creative individual who is able to facilitate creative open-ended hands-on workshops in the Studio. You are keen to adjust your delivery to the skill and learning levels of participants.
   » Excellent communication expertise and the capability to collaborate with various stakeholders, both internal and external, are essential.
   » You are passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where learners feel safe to share their stories and perspectives. You are energised by sharing your love and knowledge for arts and culture with new generations.
We are also looking for individuals that speak te reo M?ori fluently (or moderately) to join our team to become a Takawaenga Akoranga | Learning Facilitator

This job is Auckland Council Band F. Appointments will be made in the range of $70,000 to $82,500 located on expertiseet and practice.
