Toit? Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand is committed to being a respected and honourable Treaty partner with strong and enduring relationships and being an expert manager and steward of Crown land. No two days are the same as a Portfolio Manager. We undertake a huge variety of work across an incredibly diverse property portfolio encompassing residential, non-residential, pastoral leases, land, waterway, and forests. As a Portfolio Manager you will work closely with M?ori and iwi, tenants, leases, pastoral lessees and our suppliers to ensure we honour commitments under the Treaty of Waitangi and the Crown estate is well managed, enhanced for existing and future generations.
In this function you will develop and foster effective relationships with M?ori/Iwi, drive delivery of settlement commitments, respond to customers, write reports, make decisions and provide advice to a range of stakeholders. You’ll be trusted to structure your days in a way that sees the job done and high-quality work delivered on time, every time. You’ll also be flexible when needed to react and happy to pivot between pieces of work quickly as priorities change.

Maori Crown Relations team - Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch
We are seeking for Portfolio Managers to contribute to the work in the M?ori Crown Relations team You will be committed to strengthening the M?ori-Crown relationship through Te Tiriti o Waitangi and will bring a high level of competency to M?ori values, Te Reo, practice and perspective to your work.
Pastoral team - located in Christchurch
We are seeking for Portfolio Managers to contribute to the iconic management of High-Country pastoral leases working with our leaseholders and suppliers to maintain and enhance the inherent values while providing for continuing pastoral farming.
Other teams - Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch - also consider remote working from Central Otago and MacKenzie
We are seeking for Portfolio Managers to work across Crown property portfolios who take responsibility for managing and delivering prosperous results.

   » Knowledge of Treaty settlement processes and working in partnership with mandated entities
   » knowledge of land and property management, ideally in either; acquisitions, asset management or disposal
   » knowledge and practice in handling property leases.
   » Project practice in managing property remediation work
   » relationship building practice in order to partner with M?ori and Iwi and across the public sector
   » practice managing projects and contracts with suppliers
   » An knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and 2016 asbestos regulations
   » knowledge of Tikanga M?ori is highly desirable
   » knowledge in Public Works act, Land Act would be beneficial Construction or Licence Building Practitioner practice
   » proven practice making proactive and considered decisions, demonstrating that you are a critical thinker and can provide strategic advice
   » strong customer service focus.
