The Opportunity

Assessment Services is fast approaching one of our busiest times of the year with Semester Two exams just around the corner. We are pursuing to employ enthusiastic and results-driven casual staff members to support the delivery of Semester Two exams. You will be working with our Equity Advisors to enable the smooth running of exams for students with Special Conditions (discapability, mental and physical health issues, specific learning difficulties, injury, vision and hearing impairments, etc), assisting across several administrative areas prior to and during Semester Two exams. There is also the possibility of work after the exam period, supporting our staff with Late Deletion, Aegrotat and Compassionate Consideration applications.
You must be confident with computers and using online systems, interacting with students and staff, and be flexible to switch between tasks across the day. There could be the possibility you will be needed to assist as a reader/writer, so an excellent grasp of the English language is a must! You will need to be keen to lgain in a fast-paced environment, be able to pick up new information promptly and remain calm under pressure.
You must be able to work mornings and afternoons for the entirety of the exam period (Thursday 26 October 2023 –Monday 13 November 2023), with some work and training taking place from late September. Having reliable internet at home and a personal computer would be advantageous, as you may be required to work in the house at times.
There will be some physical work involved in this function (e.g. packing and lifting exam boxes, moving furniture and supplies, running correction notices to all areas of campus).
