Ko t? m?tou mahi - Our function
This is a great opportunity to join a small brand and communications team working across all areas of Foundation North's activities, including our social business the Centre for Social Impact (CSI).
As Communications Coordinator, your function as an in-house service providercarries multiple and diverse responsibilities including writing, producing and amplifying content across a range of media; upholding and raising our brand consciousness; as well as helping to plan and run effective community engagements.You will be comfortable operating:
   » self-directed - eg. take lead responsibility for end-to-end story, news and media release writing/production
   » in a small team - eg. helping generate a constant stream of stories and content
   » in unison with cross-organisational teams - eg. supporting events and hui either in-house, online and in the community.
   » You will be confident working closely with the leadership abilities Team and other colleagues, liaising regularly with digital, media and creative professionals and interacting with members of the hugely diverse range of community organisations the Foundation and CSI is privileged to serve and support.

Ng? p?manawatanga ?u - What you will bring
You will come with at least three years' significant practice in a communications/media/ journalism function, and your applicable Bachelor's degree. Key to your success will be your innate capability to juggle and deliver multiple communications projects across different brands, keeping the requirements and preferences of internal and external audiences top of mind and relating well to others. You will bring a blend of technical and inter-personal expertise and be able to evidence:
   » capability to research, interview for and write compelling and equitable stories with and about our priority communities
   » capability to work in unison with internal and external teams to deliver high quality collaborative content across digital, social and print media
   » Excellent communication expertise - written and oral, not forgetting great listening
   » Proven expertise, knowledge and practice in elevating and building brand presence, preferrably in a not-for-profit context
   » practice in providing comms support for event management
   » capability to plan, organise and manage work effectively
   » capability to rapidly adapt in a changing environment
   » knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles
