Job description:

Job Description

» We will support and develop your Actuarial career
» We offer flexible working options and generous 9% superannuation contributions
» Two functions available, Actuarial Analyst or Actuarial Advisor
Join our highly engaged team of actuarial professionals – whether you are a recent grad just starting your analyst career or are more practiced and closer to qualifying as an actuary, then we want to hear from you.
With ACC, you’ll be supporting people in Aotearoa to stay safe by minimising the incidence and impact of injury, as well as helping them recover from injury if an accident does happen.
We have a couple of new functions within ACC’s Actuarial Services team and are interested in candidates with varying levels of practice. We are a highly engaged team of actuarial professionals and we’re committed to championing a fair and sustainable ACC Scheme for New Zealanders, now and in the future.
About our team
We provide a wide variety of insight and advice, partnering with the organisation to deliver great customer results. Our services help ACC prevent injuries, effectively support and rehabilitate people if they do get injured, and ensure the Scheme is funded in an equitable and responsible manner.
We also like to have fun. And chocolate. (Or vegan lollies – we are an inclusive team.)
What will you be doing?
You’ll work with a wide variety of stakeholders within, and sometimes outside, the organisation. Your functions and responsibilities will change depending on your level of practice. Regardless, you’ll be accountable for helping the team deliver great insight and advice to enable sound management of the Scheme.
ACC provides a comprehensive study support package to help you start or continue your journey through the actuarial qualification.
What can you bring to the function?
No matter what your level of practice, you’ll be an enthusiastic individual who is committed to delivering quality services, both from a technical and a customer perspective.
You will demonstrate the following:
» Exceptional analytical expertise including the capability to work with advanced mathematical and statistical models and be easily able to navigate computer programming languages like SAS
» Excellent relationship management expertise and the capability to build rapport with your key stakeholders
» Be an excellent communicator, focused on providing actionable advice for your stakeholders
» Be continually looking for ways to innovate and improve processes and techniques to achieve quality results
» Thrive on variety and challenge and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
You are or will become an active member in the NZ Society of Actuaries, studying towards an actuarial qualification through the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or UK or another equivalent, internationally recognised, professional body.
Join us – an organisation that grew out of bold thinking and has an enduring commitment to care for others at work, home and play
