For an intermediate communications advisor keen to ensure our diverse communities are informed, engaged, and involved in the mahi we do to help Northland thrive. As part of our communications team, this function provides guidance on how best to communicate and engage with wh?nau/hap?/iwi located on a sound knowledge of te ao M?ori.
We need a specialist communicator and writer, who has great attention to detail and the capability to adapt their communication style to suit a range of audiences. You'll support the communications aspects of various council projects and programmes, working closely with our M?ori relationships team, and you’ll thrive on a challenge and the sharing of your knowledge.
Can you take us to the next level?
   » We are seeking for someone who can bring the following to our diverse talent pool:
   » A degree in communications or a related field
   » At least five years’ practice in communications, public relations, or related field
   » A good knowledge of te ao M?ori, tikanga, and working with iwi/hap?/whanau and how Information technology applies to the communications and marketing field
   » A reasonable level of competency in te reo is highly desirable
   » practice working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including media, and an established network connected to the communications industry in Te Taitokerau
   » Proven practice in developing and delivering communications strategies
   » Demonstrated writing, editing, and proofreading expertise
   » Demonstrated practice in the production of corporate documents and marketing materials
