Senior Analyst Research & Evaluation

Are you looking for a unique opportunity to apply your skills and practice in Kaupapa M?ori and M?ori-centred research and evaluation to make a difference across the social sector? As part of MSD's Treaty partnership obligations, MSD is committed to working with M?ori to achieve greater results. As part of supporting this, the Research and Evaluation team are seeking a person to fill a Senior Analyst M?ori function to help to provide technical, analytical, and cultural insights.

The opportunity
The Research and Evaluation team's exciting work program involves undertaking research and evaluation to inform decision-making in areas of critical importance to New Zealander's wellbeing. Our work areas include:
   » Kaupapa M?ori work streams and capacity building, including qualitative and quantitative M?ori research and evaluation
   » Evaluating the effectiveness of MSD's employment and earnings support programs
   » Developing evaluation frameworks and evidence to support family violence and sexual violence services
   » Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of the initiatives in the Families Package
   » Supporting policy and service decisions with evidence about young people, older people, and people with health and discapability issues.
Who We are seeking for
We are seeking for an practiced M?ori social sector practitioner to lead programmes of work, undertake analysis and provide advice on complex projects, policy and service delivery initiatives. There will be a specific focus on M?ori thought leadership abilities, strategy and analysis.
The function involves working with people across MSD, government agencies, and others who have an interest in evidence for social policy.
You'll be someone practiced in working with M?ori, as a key part of the function will be to conduct stakeholder discussions. You will be working with a passionate and practiced M?ori research team to ensure a Te Ao M?ori perspective is applied to our work program.
