The prosperous candidate will also have a good sense of humour, be attention detailed and have great communication expertise. practice within MYOB/ Greentree would be preferred. THE function The function will see a candidate take respomsibilty for the general ledger and the support, maintenance and enhacement of the financial reporting systems. Previous practice with reporting, analysis and business partnering across the business with key stakeholders is needed. KEY tasks: » General ERP maintenance of users, approval routing rules, troubleshooting system errors, etc. Information technology also includes maintain the sub-modules » Maintenance of users and GL codes, troubleshooting errors and training/ mentoring more junior members of staff » Monthly capitalisation determination: Provide interpretation on capitalisation/expensing of outlays as well as depreciation methodology » Maintaining and posting journals: for accruals, prepayments, reclassifications and adjustments including timesheet consolidation to WIP » Month End tasks: Timesheet posting, standard monthly accruals, Customised Solutions revenue, Fast Close revenue accruals, capitalisations and WIP, depreciation, FAR reporting - Tax & Accounting. Balance sheet reconciliations for various general ledger accounts » Return GST preparation and reconciliation » Statistics NZ reports » Ensure the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing the general ledger and provide analysis on variances for the Finance Manager to review » Reporting regularly on project and capital expenditure. » Assist the business with queries on the accounting treatment for project spend. » Assist with Group reporting packages » General queries from across the business » Backup support for other members of Finance team when required » Carry out any other miscellaneous tasks when required Apply now to avoid missing out!
