About our group and team The Early Learning and Student Achievement (ELSA) group is a key part of the Ministry, with over 300 staff. Information technology sets system-level learning standards and supports education leaders to lift progress and achievement for all children and young people. The group achieves this by advising on New Zealand’s curricula, the provision of personalised learning pathways, and a quality and sustainable education workforce. At the heart of our work is making sure that every day, in every early learning service, k?hanga reo, school, and kura, the education workforce and curriculum delivery is world class, and focused on what New Zealanders need for their best future. About this function We have some exciting opportunities for Business Analysts across the Education Workforce team. This team covers the areas of Pay Equity, Claims Implementation, Employment Relations Scholarship and Awards and Teacher Supply. As a key member of each team, the Business Analysts will work as a liaison among key internal stakeholders and external service providers in order to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to the Ministry’s processes, policies, and information systems. About you Opportunities are available for Business Analysts with a range of practice who are able to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to analyse complex business issues and develop effective solutions. To succeed in these functions you will also offer the following: » Previous practice managing the process of gathering, analysing, storing and disseminating detailed information in a user-friendly format » practice in specifying business requirements from different user groups to a professional standard for system developers and/or solution providers to design against » The capability to work independently with a high degree of initiative » An innovative and conceptual thinking style » Excellent communication expertise and the capability to work collaboratively with others to deliver results » The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga Are you ready to make a difference?
