Research at Massey University is flourishing, as demonstrated by the strength and variety of the research and collaborations in which the institution is engaged. Our research ranges from the fundamental science – modelling fundamental interactions – to the applied research – treatment and welfare of native fauna. The function of Researcher Development Facilitator is to provide support and guidance so to enable the continued progress in growing the University’s researchers and the impact they have on the world. The function will primarily be responsible for the design and facilitation of a University-wide development programme to enable research-active staff at all levels to continue to enhance their research and professional and career development. The prosperous applicant will also be integral to the University Research Awards and Medal processes, and will play a key function in fostering a vibrant and supportive research environment in the University. If you have in-depth knowledge of the University sector, the researcher development environment, and key research and stakeholder organisations in New Zealand, we want to hear from your practice in design, delivery and management training and development programmes, as well as knowledge evaluation processes and impact assessment is essential. People-orientation, influencing, planning and excellent communication expertise will serve you well in this function. The function is available on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week).
