Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children, currently have opportunities for Social Workers to join our Invercargill Site.
In this function, you will be flexible about your place of work and environment, delivering high-level evidence located and quality social work services. There will also be an opportunity to be involved with s132 Court Report Writing.
This is an exciting opportunity to work flexibly, travelling to the Invercargill site when needed, to continually provide high quality social work practice
You will be part of a supportive team who work closely together and who are passionate about supporting Oranga Tamariki in delivering positive results for tamariki and rangatahi.
You will be a part of something bigger, carrying out significant work and making a difference to the lives of our tamariki and their whanau.

Key attributes to be considered but not limited to, will include the following:
   » A recognised Social Work qualification by the Social Worker Registration Board
   » Registration (or able to apply) with New Zealand’s Social Worker Registration Board
   » Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking, and problem-solving expertise
   » Upholding the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and demonstrating this in practice
   » Having a good knowledge of section 7(AA) of The Oranga Tamariki Act
   » Well-developed written and verbal communication expertise
   » A valid and clean New Zealand driver’s licence
