Online Engagement Manager

The Digital New Zealand Team is part of the National Library of New Zealand Te Puna M?tauranga o Aotearoa and leads the way in the digital discovery and seamless access to New Zealand's digital content and heritage. As a team, we are all about collecting, storing, and preserving important things that are precious to New Zealand.
The Online Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing and building engagement with National Library's online services such as www.digitalnz.org, www.natlib.govt.nz, www.paperspast.natlib.govt.nz. Working with a range of customers, partners and users, this function is about helping more people to use our online services to discover and engage with their stories, culture and histories.
In this function you will:
   » Design and deliver an outreach strategy and programme for National Library online services
   » Planning and co-ordinating outreach events around the country
   » Contributing to the development and user centred design of www.digitalnz.org
   » Support our mahi through analytics reporting, content creation and social media management
   »
The right person for this function will offer:
   » practice managing online communities and web sites
   » Strong communication expertise, with a positive and engaging attitude that brings people together to deliver
   » The capability to work comfortably in an agile team environment
   » Strong written and verbal expertise with the capability to explain complex concepts in plain English
   » A passion for connecting New Zealanders with their digital cultural heritage
   » The capability to travel within New Zealand for work related activities
