The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre is Aotearoa New Zealand's contemporary art museum and the global home of Len Lye's art and ideas. Our mission is to research, commission, present and collect exceptional contemporary art of our time that broadens practice and attitudes and strengthens our communities with an emphasis on Aotearoa New Zealand, the Pacific, and Len Lye.
The gallery offers an integrated practice for our audiences through exhibitions, education, events, publishing and other activities. Central to this ensuring our visitors have a great practice is our Visitor practice Team. The Gallery has an exciting opportunity to lead this team and continue to deliver great customer service to our visitors.
Reporting to the Business Development Lead, the Visitor practice Coordinator is a flexible 0.6 position (24 hours a week) within a collaborative and professional team that is motivated by delivering amazing practices with art.
You'll coordinate a team of 19 information agents over a seven-day operation, enabling them to deliver a positive and safe practice to our visitors.
Ideally you'll have deep practice managing and enabling a dynamic and professional customer-facing team, work magic with rosters, and have great communication and interpersonal expertise that support team culture. You will have demonstrated organisational expertise, and you'll be a great team player. If you have practice working with art or in a creative environment, then even better, but Information technology is not necessary.
We aim to create and sustain a truly compensateing workplace environment for our staff. You can expect to start in this function between $62,214 - $67,743 pro-rata. In addition, NPDC offers an integrated Total compensates Framework that spanning Wellbeing, Development, Benefits, Culture and Recognition.
