Job Offer: Workforce Advisor:Big Splash NZJob description:Job DescriptionAbout the opportunityWe’re looking for a Workforce Advisor to join our newly formed Regional Business Growth team, and to work externally with our partners to deliver quality, well-paid employment opportunities. Reporting to the Manager Regional Business Growth, your key focus will be supporting employers to build effective employment practices to ensure local people are supported into local employment. You will: » Directly engage with regional employers and industry groups. » Advocate best practice training and pastoral care by employers for employees. » Support the regional workforce development programme. » Work collaboratively with Trust colleagues, in particular the business growth advisors, to connect respective work programmes. » Work with regional stakeholders to identify those looking for employment, employers, and training providers. » Implement the Tair?whiti Workforce Development Plan. About you To be prosperous in this position, you will have a business background with significant practice interacting at a senior level with external businesses, training providers or employment programme development or delivery. You will also have an in-depth knowledge of the drivers of prosperous work development and deployment including pastoral care. Key to your success will be an knowledge of the Tair?whiti labour markets, a passion for unlocking workforce potential in the Tair?whiti Gisborne region and building credible relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
