The function this function presents a unique opportunity to join our team in the pivotal position of enhancing the profile and reputation of Education Support Services (ESS) at the University of Otago College of Education. You will develop and manage the prosperous delivery of a marketing and communication strategy to raise the profile of, and engagement with our Professional Learning and Development (PLD) opportunities for Kura, Kaupapa M?ori, Wharekura, Kura-a-Iwi and English medium schools supporting a system-wide shift in cultural capcapability for our team, kaiako, tumuaki, teachers and school leaders in Aotearoa. In this function you will: » Prepare and disseminate well written, appropriately targeted bicultural material in te reo M?ori and English which serves to enhance the profile and reputation of ESS, and which aligns with the University of Otago”s M?ori Strategic Framework. » Develop and implement an effective marketing and communications strategy for ESS that meets the contract requirements of our primary funders Te T?huhu o te M?tauranga, the Ministry of Education. » Work closely with the ESS team, University Marketing Advisers and Design team to ensure initiatives are appropriately considered, included and implemented through internal and external University communications. It is preferred that this function is located in Dunedin. Your expertise and practice We are seeking for someone who is passionate about teaching and learning in M?ori settings. Information technology is essential that the prosperous candidate brings a proactive, collaborative approach and is able to work independently and remotely as part of a team. The prosperous candidate will also have: » Fluency in te reo M?ori me ?n? tikanga. » Tertiary qualification in a significant field. » Professional practice in a marketing or communications function. » practice developing and implementing marketing or communications strategies.
