We're looking for Somebody with a good knowledge and commitment to the principles of recovery and trauma informed care. A real ?people person' who can engage with anyone!

   » Full-time function vacancy, working 32 hours per week, Sunday and Wednesday 11.00pm to 7.30am
   » Full-time function vacancy, working 32 hours per week, Wednesday to Saturday 11.00pm to 7.30am
   » Full-time vacancy, working 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, 2 weeks AM 7.00 – 3.30pm, PM 3.00pm – 11.30pm alternating.
   » Part-time vacancy, working 24 hours per week, Thursday to Saturday, on a pm shift 3.00pm – 11.30pm.
As a Support Worker in our Te Whare Paki Mai Forensic Residential service, you will be kept busy supporting people in their recovery by teaching them strategies to improve or manage their well-being; provide a listening ear; maintaining the home, cleaning; taking care of documentation, host clinical teams and support service users with medication.

We are interested to hear from people with practice in residential services and someone who have a caring nature and work in a recovery focused way, you will have medication support practice to be able to provide medication support for our people when needed. You'll have impeccable attention to detail and ideally have some knowledge around community support, and how to navigate and access external services for the people we support. We are seeking for down to earth people who have a good sense of humour, integrity, honesty, relicapability, and flexibility.

   » You must hold a current full driver's licence
   » Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
candidates should hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Pathways. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement. Pathways offers significant support for support workers to complete this study.
The Covid-19 Public Health (Vaccination) Order requires the full vaccination of anyone conducting high-risk work in the health and discapability sector, or who does not necessarily provide a health service but works in a function that requires frequent contact/engagement with those who do. Therefore all workers within the Wise Group are required by the Order to be vaccinated.
