Currently seeking quality technicians to assist with the manufacturing of electromagnets in Mount Wellington. This role is an ongoing role with an excellent company leading the way in electromagnet manufacturing across the globe.

Taking a mechanical approach, this quality assurance role requires a candidate to implement robust processes, systems and checks as well as manage all documentation in order to ensure quality products are developed and manufactured.

Other require outcomes include:
   » Testing and checking the integrity of assembled electromagnets in line the product specifications.
   » Identify any quality failures and communicate to relevant internal departments and external vendors.
   » Prioritise workload and compile inspection reports in line with shipping deadlines.
The successful candidate will have experience in engineering or a similar quality technician role in an industrial setting. Experience with micro-meters and verniers is essential for this role.

Key skills and competencies:
   » Mechanical Engineering background with experience in Metrology/QC Inspection/Quality, and skills in mechanical measurement
   » Full working knowledge of engineering drawings and drawing standards
   » Mechanical measurement and visual inspection of parts to engineering drawings, preparation of inspection reports, non-conforming product investigations, and other quality-associated activities
   » Familiar with quality methods, processes, ethics, and principles, with knowledge of the ISO9001 quality management framework
   » Detail focussed excellent communication skills, the ability to work to priorities and deadlines, and, above all, a willing, can-do attitude to work as part of a team
   » A hands-on approach with a positive work attitude
   » PC Literacy
The contract will be a temporary contract initially; however it is an ongoing full-time assignment with a possibility for further growth. There is one dayshift and one nightshift available.
