We are a not-for-profit with a longstanding history and commitment to contemporary New Zealand art. Our vision is to provide quality art practices that are contemporary, innovative and significant and encourage an consciousness of and involvement in the visual arts.- - - Northart is seeking a new team member for the function of Gallery adjunct. This position is part time, four days per week, with extra hours time-to-time for events including weekday and weekend shifts. Information technology is sole charge at times. The Gallery adjunct function is a varied and exciting opportunity best suited to a person with a background in art history or visual arts. Information technology is a key support function that encompasses front of house responsibilities, exhibition installation and administration including the co-ordination of volunteers and the gallery website. Northart honours the bi-cultural agreement of the Treaty of Waitangi and its principles of partnership, participation and protection. This is a permanent part-time position offering 24 hours per week with occassional additional hours.
