Data Scientist
   » Permanent 37.5 hours per week

Te Puna Ora o M?taatua is an award winning and leading regional M?ori health and wellbeing provider situated in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Established in 1991, Te Puna Ora o M?taatua delivers an integrated range of community health, general medical, homelocated, and social services within the M?taatua rohe.
Our aim is to be the No. 1 regional provider of health and social services in the Bay of Plenty and beyond. And we are growing!
Here at Te Puna Ora o Mataatua, we provide excellent opportunities for mid-career researchers, to work on projects that address health inequities.
We are on the hunt for a Data Scientist who can support our research team to address statistical questions that are significant to Maori. Reporting to the Research Director, you will be responsible for spearheading the Research Projects, with the support of the Research Associate.
To be considered for this function, you must:
   » Have a demonstrated capability working with large data sets and interpreting data with an indigenous lens
   » Have a passion for covering Maori health inequities
   » Have a Masters or PhD in epidemiology, demography, statistics, or sociology
   » Have great engagement and interaction expertise
   » Be a team player
   » expertise of Tikanga and Te Reo Maori is an advantage.
