We have a great opportunity available for individuals committed to supporting Pacific students at the University of Otago, Wellington.
Reporting to the Associate Dean (Pacific), these functions will support activities, which promote and strengthen efforts aligned with the University’s Pacific Strategic Framework and the University of Otago Wellington’s (UOW) Pacific Action Plan.

The function – Te mahi
As a Pacific Undergraduate or Postgraduate Programme Facilitator, you will be located in the Division of Health Sciences, Pacific Office at the University of Otago, Wellington (UOW) campus.
These functions will support the Associate Dean (Pacific) by undertaking and promoting activities that strengthen engagement with Pacific students.
Key tasks include:
   » Ensuring continuing development of the academic and/or mentoring programmes for Pacific students at UOW.
   » Implementing new mentoring initiatives and programmes across the campus, working closely with Pacific students and significant staff.
   » Reporting on mentoring programmes and activities for Pacific students.
   » Ensuring Pacific culture, values and principals are integrated appropriately into, and assist with, Pacific related activities and events.
   » Maintaining key relationships both internally and externally.
   » Performing significant tasks to support the UOW Pacific Action Plan and the University of Otago Pacific Strategic Framework.

We have two permanent, part time (0.2FTE, 7.5 hours) positions available. One Postgraduate Programme Facilitator and one Undergraduate Programme Facilitator.
