Information technology is home to a unique mix of collections and practices and our vision is to educate and inspire the innovators of tomorrow.This is an exciting time to join a team with a huge amount of practice and enthusiasm to position MOTAT as a ?must practice' venue here in T?maki Makaurau.
About the function
Embracing a M?ori worldview, our Visitor practice Developer - M?tauranga M?ori will take the lead on the development and delivery of our visitor practices from a m?tauranga M?ori perspective. With a natural capability to walk in two worlds, you will be someone who thrives in an environment where our visitors are at the forefront of what we do, and where we aim to attract a diverse audience through the prosperous delivery of our vibrant and interactive visitor practices. This is an exciting time to join a team with a huge amount of practice and enthusiasm to position MOTAT as a ?must practice' venue here in T?maki Makaurau.

This is a full-time function, with the benefit of flexible working hours and the capability to work a portion of hours in the house each week.
About you
Ultimately, you are you, and we appreciate that everyone brings different strengths to the team. We want you to bring your unique flair to your work, acknowledging that we all come from different backgrounds, previous work contexts, and areas of skills. We want you to tell us about yourself and the knowledge you bring when Information technology comes to co-developing visitor practices from a M?ori worldview. You will bring a solid knowledge of M?tauranga M?ori and Tikanga M?ori coupled with the capability to take an inclusive and collaborative approach to your work and excellent relationship building skills. A foundational knowledge of Te Reo M?ori is a requirement of the function, and if you have a higher level of fluency that would be a huge advantage. Ideally you will have built these skills in the GLAM sector, however as long as you can demonstrate an knowledge of public programming and museum practices, that's all we need!
