The University of Otago is a research-intensive university with a long history of excellence and a leader in legal research within New Zealand. The Law Faculty is situated in Dunedin, New Zealand's renowned University city. We are committed to working closely with iwi and M?ori organisations and m?tauraka M?ori has become an integral part of teaching and research across the institution. Our relationship with Ng?i Tahu as mana whenua within their takiw? of Te Waipounamu and, through this, as the University's principal Treaty partner is especially important. The function – Te mahi The Faculty of Law/Te Kaupeka T?tai Ture is committed to high quality legal education and scholarship and is seeking to make appointments to Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position(s). The Faculty's primary teaching needs are in the following areas, but exceptional candidates with proven research potential in other areas will also be carefully considered: » Torts » Land Law » Property Law » Private Law » Jurisprudence » Commercial law (for example Iwi Governance, Insolvency, Corporate Governance, Partnership Law, Construction Law, Secured Credit, Intellectual Property) Your expertise and practice – K? p?keka me k? wheako prosperous candidates will have a postgraduate law degree or equivalent practice and publications.
