We are seeking a motivated and driven Project Manager with proven site management and supervision of trade teams in New Zealand, to support our client with a large residential project in the Northern suburbs of Auckland!

Our client has been in the New Zealand construction scene since the early 1980s and started their business on the principles of uncompromised quality and value, principles that they still work to every day! They pride themselves on listening to their clients, and providing what they need, when they need it, and within a committed time frame.

As a Project Manager you will be required to oversee, direct and lead building projects from conception to completion in a timely (built on time) and cost-effective (on budget) manner to the client's satisfaction, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met. Reviewing the project in-depth including scheduling deliveries for both trades and suppliers. Being responsible for and overseeing all onsite construction and schedules to monitor compliance, quality, and standards within the building and safety regulations, whilst maintaining high standards of Health & Safety for the client.

As part of your day to day role, you will be required to:
   » Prioritise workload to ensure work of the greatest importance to the business is undertaken with urgency and to a high standard.
   » Support and help develop a positive workplace culture.
   » Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
   » Responsibly manage all business resources within accountability levels.
   » Undertake all duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description and all other duties as required by the business.
   » Promptly undertake to complete all reasonable and lawful instructions and directions given.
   » Serve the business in good faith, promoting and protecting the business's best interests.
   » During work time, and such other times as may be reasonably required, dedicate all effort to the execution and fulfillment of the duties, responsibilities, obligations, and instructions related to employment.
   » Demonstrate through own actions a commitment to Health and Safety at work when undertaking work

To be successful you must have
   » Carpentry certificate
   » Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP)
   » Excellent organisation, operational and communication skills
   » Outstanding project management skills
   » Experience in the construction industry
   » Adept in relative Project Management programming systems
   » Great management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate, drive, and direct others
   » Ability to problem-solve and manage conflict effectively.
