Our client is one of Aotearoa New Zealand's leading and most innovative logistics companies. Our main aim is to exceed customer expectations while reducing waste in the Aotearoa New Zealand logistics network. Based in Penrose, this is a full-time permanent position . A minimum of 40 hours per week is guaranteed over Monday to Friday day shifts, with the possibility of additional hours during the week and weekends from time to time. A high standard of Health and Safety is required. This role requires some manual handling and the use of hoists. It would put you a step ahead (but is not critical) if you have certification/s related to warehousing, for example, MPI AP. We use 3 tonne LPG counterbalance hoists, in and around a warehouse with 6-meter high racking. We handle Freight of All Kinds, both palletized and loose, so manual handling is required. We operate under strict MPI rules and require a high standard of Health and Safety. As part of the role, you will be required to: » Comply with all HSEQ procedures in their departments » Operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or bar-coding system » Co-ordinate and communicate inwards and outwards movements of the finished product » Maximizing utilization of storage space. » Maintain accurate inventory by conducting cycle counts on a regular basis » Daily checks (for example, Forklift Checklists) » Operate a forklift and associated equipment (for example push-pull) to move product and other materials, in or out of a storage facility To be considered for the role, you will need to meet the following criteria: » Committed to Health and Safety » Forklift Licence or Certificate » Secondary school level English and Maths, or equivalent » Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude, with a strong results-focused work ethic » MPI AP certification is preferred, but not essential.
