Are you wanting to establish yourself within an organisation that supports your willingness to learn in grow within the industry? We currently have several Kaiawhina - Youth Coach positions for a full time within our Youth Residential Services. As part of this role, you will be primarily working with youth between the age of 13-18, who stay within our support network and require support and guidance on a day-to-day basis. As a Kaiawhina, you will be working alongside our rangatahi on a 4-day on, 4-day off roster within a residential housing complex. T o be part of the team, we are looking for people who: » Pride themselves on a wh?nau first, Tikanga-based, well-being approach » Passionate about making a difference in the lives of our taiohi » The positive and supportive mindset to assist our taiohi to achieve their goals and aspirations could lead to our taiohi returning home or living independently in the community » Patient and calm. Walking alongside our taiohi and at the pace of our taiohi » Respectful and upholds the integrity/dignity of our taiohi » A holistic approach to wellbeing If you enjoy working in a kaupapa M?ori organisation, have a strong work ethic and your career pathway is working with taiohi, then this may be the role for you . Requirements: » Full Drivers License » First Aid Certificate » High computer literacy » Fully vaccinated and boosted » 1- 3 Years' experience in the Youth Sector preferably in residential settings » Have or be prepared to study towards L.4 qualification in Youth Work or L.5 in Social Services » Demonstrates a high level of oral and written skills » Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
