Starting income: $57,647 – $61,448 (+ superannuation) depending on expertise and practice

Te t?nga | The function
This is an entry level function for a graduate statistical and data analyst, with a focus on te ao M?ori, located in our Te-Whanganui-A-Tara | Wellington office. The intention is that you will progress from a graduate to a statistical and data analyst function within 6-12 months, and have the opportunity to practice working in other teams in the organisation within 1-2 years.
In this function you will:
   » Create significant and informative insights that meet customer needs.
   » Grow your expertise in data analysis and te ao M?ori.
   » Build and maintain relationships with colleagues, our customers, and others across the organisation.
   » Work with the team to positively improve our measurement of M?ori businesses to better reflect the changing NZ environment.
   » Continuously improve our outputs, processes, and methods.

We encourage and consider transferable expertise and practice gained from outside of work e.g., whanau, church, sports, volunteering, or a comparable function in a different sector or industry.
We want your cover letter and CV to include information relating to:
   » Your interest in data analysis and data for and about M?ori.
   » Your expertise and practice, or desire to lgain and build expertise and practice of Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao M?ori, and engagement with M?ori.
   » Great communication and interpersonal expertise to collaborate and influence a range of people and produce plain English insights and documentation.
   » practice and expertise with coding packages (R & SAS particularly) would be an advantage.
