Reporting to our Director – People, Practice and Capcapability, the function of Regional Communications Adviser is responsible for providing communications support and advice across our Lower North Region.

The Regional Communications Adviserwill see you co-ordinating and managing regional requirements for internal and external communications, including for stakeholder and proactive media relations. You will act as a conduit between the region and National Office to develop communication strategies and collateral for the region. As the Regional Communications Adviser you will also work as part of an effective team to ensure the competent and efficient operation of the Regional Office.
The function will see you working closely with senior staff to ensure H?kai Rangi is incorporated into all communications.H?kai Rangiis the Department’s organisational strategy which recognises and builds on the good work we are already doing, however, Information technology also looks to find new and alternative ways to achieve better results for the people in our management and their wh?nau which will result in reduced reoffending.A key focus of H?kai Rangi is the humanising and healing of those people in our management. Ara Poutama Aotearoa staff will focus on having relationships with these people, and their wh?nau, that are located on manaaki and contribute positively to their wellbeing.
This will be a busy and interesting function with plenty of variety. Information technology will provide you with the opportunity to play a part in changing people’s lives for good. Your focus being split across managing Lower North Regional communications and advising our Heretaunga Ararau kaupapaM?ori Pathwaysinitiative in the Hawkes Bay. With this in mind, ideally you will have a strong knowledge of tikanga M?ori and will, ideally, be a te reo speaker. this function would suit Somebody with practice ora stronginterest in kaupapa M?ori.

   » capability to manage a diverse portfolio of tasks to a high standard.
   » knowledge of the impact of Change Management on staff from a communications perspective
Utu ?-tau | income
The mid point of the income range is $108,180.Appointment and remuneration will reflect expertise and practice significant to the function.
