Waikato Museum Te Whare Taonga o Waikato aims to be the best regional museum in New Zealand and is seeking the right people to take on a function in our Visitor Services Team.
The Museum Visitor practice Representative function will include front of house tasks such as retail assistance, security, selling admission, giving information and guidance to our visitors, and assisting with public programmes. A expertise of te reo Maaori and tikanga would be an advantage, as well the capability to interact with and understand the needs of people from different countries and cultures.
We need someone who can transfer their existing customer and visitor service practice and expertise to the cultural and artistic environment, working across the museum and ArtsPost. You'll also have excellent computer literacy expertise and will be available to work set days each week.
We're looking for someone who can work at least 14 hours every week rostered, which includes weekends, some evening work at exhibitions openings, public events or when the museum is hired out.
