The School of Clinical Sciences is seeking a Research agent to contribute to a study exploring psychosocial wellbeing in stroke care in Aotearoa New Zealand.
This research aims to enhance wh?nau practices and clinician and service capcapability to support psychosocial wellbeing after stroke. Our work draws onHe Awa Whiria,which sees us engage uniquely with M?ori and non-M?ori expertise all over the research. We are pursuing a research agent to support the M?ori stream of the research which is led by Bobbie-Jo Wilson (Ng?ti T?wharetoa). this function involves completing a literature review on wh?nau M?ori practices of well-being after stroke, gathering and analysing data with M?ori wh?nau and clinicians, and supporting our continuing engagement with our advisors. We are pursuing a researcher with:
   » expertise of Kaupapa M?ori research, ideally with practice in qualitative research
   » practice in completing literature reviews
   » practice in integrating te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice and/or research contexts
   » Can work autonomously and ask for support when required
   » capability to communicate and present information effectively
You will become part of a supportive team with a strong commitment to te Tiriti o Waitangi in our research and everyday practices within the Centre for Person-Centred Research (https://cpcr.aut.ac.nz/). Kaimahi M?ori will be supported and engaged within a growing network of M?ori staff.
