After 55 years in the industry, Plumbing World has grown to become the largest 100% New Zealand owned national plumbing merchant.

Reporting directly to the IT Service Delivery Manager, an exciting position has become available for a Business Application Support Specialist to work in their beautiful support office in Palmerston North.

The purpose of the role is to support current applications and the introduction of new technologies into the business. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to assist in the day-to-day resolution of system issues, ensure applications are configured to reflect and support defined business processes, whilst maintaining appropriate security levels.

In this role you will be dealing directly with a range of people across the business to facilitate swift solving of issues with applications that they use to keep the business humming.

We are looking for strong application experience at level 2-3, and someone who is able to deal with complex issues and vendor management.

You will be significantly experienced in IT projects, release management, and configuration management, have worked closely with vendors and in-house development teams, and able to hit the ground running.

Skills & Experience
   » Strong technical experience and knowledge in supporting critical business applications
   » Experience in supporting SaaS applications.
   » Demonstrated ability in overseeing applications and transition of software projects into business-as-usual support
   » Experience with or core understanding of interfaces like Logic Apps & Service Bus technologies.
   » Ability to analyse and problem-solve issues
   » Ability to communicate ideas in a user-friendly language
   » Experience delivering high-quality customer service
   » Proven technical and practical documentation skills
   » Demonstrated first-hand experience Microsoft-hosted applications.
   » Ability to show initiative, exercise good judgment and achieve results
   » Good interpersonal and communication skills are a must
