Job description:

Job Description

» Has Rakiura / Stewart Island been on your bucket list? Now is your opportunity to live, work, and play in this truly untouched part of Aotearoa whilst still being able to go to the gym, get a good coffee, a beer, or travel back to the mainland regularly.
» Kick start or progress your conservation career in functions with an unparalleled opportunity to gain a diverse portfolio of expertise.
» Variety of functions available looking for a diverse set of expertise. Check them out now!

Rakiura/Stewart Island is the southernmost and smallest island of the three main islands of Aotearoa / New Zealand. It’s a 20-minute flight from Invercargill or a one-hour ferry ride fromBluff. Stewart Island is wild, beautiful, and offers a glimpse into a simpler, slower lifestyle, in rhythm with the sea and tides, attuned to the natural world of bush and beach. Roughly 85% of the island forms the wild and enchanting Rakiura National Park. One of the Island’s exciting community projects is Predator Free Rakiura which is an ambitious and courageous project to help the community and nature thrive together by removing predators.

The Rakiura community is a glimpse of old-fashioned Aotearoa, with strong values and the opportunity to be easily welcomed and integrated. You may spend your days off hunting, fishing, kayaking, tramping, running, diving or with photography - to name just a few of the hobbies of our current Rangers, especially with long summer days. You will have a new definition for your everyday commute with many unique ways of travelling around the island. For work trips this is most likely by boat, dinghy, LUV, or helicopter.

As mentioned above, you can get a good coffee, go for a beer, head to the gym, or leave the Island any time of the day. Check out some information about living on the Island which is attached or here atwww.stewartisland.co.nz
