Are you an accounts payable and receivable superstar based in Kerikeri? If so, WE WAT TO HEAR FROM YOU! Our client is needing cover for a 7 -8 week period with potential ongoing work after for the right candidate.

What you will be doing:

Accounts Payable
   » Accurate and timely entry of invoices into ERP and ensuring approvals by authorised personnel (who cross-check against GRN's and PO's)
   » Processing of weekly and monthly payment runs, for CFO review, including batch exports to bank platform for CEO bank release
   » Reconciling supplier statements with AB records, pursuing discrepancies and following up internally where invoices are disputed
   » Uploading invoices from payment runs to e-filing system

Accounts Receivable
   » Following prompts from internal logging system, check whether any customer invoices are due for raising, and where so, raise and email to customers (daily checking process taking one or two minutes but not all days require invoices)
   » Produce and email customer statements
   » Undertake follow-up of overdue invoices following 2-stage approach of first via email for invoices overdue by more than 2 days, followed by telephone contact where 1 week or more overdue (CFO to support as required)

The business has a very strong ethic around paying its bills on time, and are striving to achieve a very high compliance rate after some slippage in recent months (still well over 90% but room for improvement).

What we need from you:
   » Previous experience in a similar role - AP and AR experience is crucial
   » Keen eye for detail and data entry, with the ability to be accurate and timely with invoicing to ensure payment is collected in correct time
   » High discipline with customer payment (usually withing 5 working days) to ensure no product delays
   » Strong work ethic and proactive with the ability to work alone
   » MUST be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and MOJ check
