M? te t?nga | The function
We are seeking for an practiced and passionate people leader to build and support a team responsible for developing and delivering the 2023 Census products and services. As one of the 2 co-managers of the Products and Services team, you will coach and develop your people to the best they can be in their functions.
This newly created function will support the growing size of the Census Insights team during the 2023 Census dissemination phase and is a fixed term function until June 2024. The function can be located in either ?tautahi or P?neke (Christchurch or Wellington).
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Census Insights you will lead a team of analysts across the motu. You will work in collaboration with the other manager of Products and Services to lead the wider team to share thecensus data with the of people Aotearoa New Zealand, including iwi M?ori, so they can tell stories about their people and place. The products and services we deliver range from datasets and tables, to stories, insights and detailed metadata.
Each day will be different, with your conversations, focus and support of your team shifting between a range of different types of work e.g. how our systems, processes and delivery plans are shaping up and tracking, to what new and emerging customer output needs we might need to meet within our existing suite of products and services, to thinking about how to support others who use our products and services.
Collaborating closely with other teams in the motu, 2023 Census programme and elsewhere in Stats NZ will also be an important part of your function.
