About the function Responsible for assisting the anaesthetist in the preparation, planning and implementations of anaesthesia. Staff are provided with a supportive team environment and positive leadership abilities. A range of specialties including general surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, plastics, urology, ENT and acute services. About you • New Zealand Advanced Certificate in Anaesthetic Technology and certificate of proficiency OR Diploma in Applied Science for Anaesthetic Technicians (NZ) • Recognised equivalent as approved by the Medical Science Council NZ • Member of NZATS • Current Annual Practising Certificate • Exceptional clinical expertise and expertise • Outstanding communication expertise • capability to work autonomously and an effective team member • The capability to cope with a busy and ever changing fast-paced environment • The flexibility to work a variety of rostered shifts if required In order to be eligible for this position you must be located in New Zealand and hold a New Zealand registration.
