In this function, you will have the opportunity to lead key projects, play a vital function in providing strategic advice, shaping regulations, and developing innovative policy solutions.
The function:
• Policy leadership abilities and Oversight: Lead and supervise complex policy challenges to drive significant change and contribute to New Zealand's social and economic growth.
• Expert Guidance and Design: Drive the development of innovative policy solutions, legislative design, and regulatory frameworks.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including ministers, unions, employer representatives, and partner agencies, to shape policy direction and ensure effective implementation.
• Senior Ministerial Advice: Prepare high-quality policy advice for senior decision-makers, proposing alternative approaches to policy implementation for better results.
• Cross-System Thinking and Initiatives: Drive cross-system thinking and legislative initiatives to improve social and economic results.
• Te Tiriti o Waitangi Commitment: Uphold the Crown's obligations under te Tiriti o Waitangi while ensuring effective policy implementation.
