Our client is looking for an experienced payroll administrator to join their team in Waipapa.
We have the flexibility here to look at either a part time candidate or someone wanting full time hours, with hours varying from 15-40 per week for the right candidate. This role will be starting as an ongoing temporary assignment.
The bulk of this role will be ensuring payroll has been completed which can normally take between 12-16 hours per week.

Payroll duties will include:
   » Process weekly payrolls from appropriately authorized timesheets (where applicable) for external software-provider to remit to employees by the company deadline (currently each Thursday following the week being paid)
   » Email or otherwise communicate pay-slips to employees each week
   » Ensure that employee remuneration rates, tax codes, deductions and approved expense reimbursements are incorporated accurately in each payroll
   » Process labour costing entries weekly from processed timesheets
   » With support from the Accounts Administrator, ensure accurate interface between payroll software and the company ERP (currently Harmoniq)
   » With input from the Accounts Administrator, monitor and manage employees' contributions to cover the costs of rental accommodation, eg rent, utilities, garden maintenance, insurances, etc.

There is wider scope for the role if you are looking for a full-time role, where your week will be split between departments to assist which will include, but not limited to:
HR Admin:
Manage and support recruitment process with hiring managers, Maintain HR metric reports, maintain staff records, prepare HR docs eg contracts etc, up to date policies, communicate changes to staff and other HR duties.
H&S:
Provide Administrative support for the H&S manager and H&S team.
Vehicle feel management:
Maintain vehicle policies including key processes, schedule appointments, ensure WOF etc are up to date and more.
Office:
Ordering stationery, coordinating cleaners, Monitoring and maintaining stock of bathroom products, ordering office equipment and food + beverages for the canteen, and so on.
Reception:
Answering incoming calls, collect key details and forward to appropriate person, attend to walk ins, record client interaction into system.
IT:
Ordering of hardware and ancillary devices/equipment to company standards, Coordinator of support requirements for internal/external remediation, Maintain software licenses and ensure matches with user logs, Review and update Service Level Agreement with external service-provider.

To be successful for this role you will have had previous payrolling experience, great attention to detail and a willingness to assist in other areas of the business to ensure smooth workflow.
