About our group and team SE&S – Sector Enablement and Support Our teams around the country work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, skills and resources to help children and young people reach their full potential. We also directly provide Learning Support for around 40,000 children and young people. About this function The focus of this function is on embedding best practice within Learning Support. You will provide practice thought leadership abilities and will facilitate the broadening of field workers thinking to an all-of system approach to practice. You will be supporting and enabling the adoption and implementation of the new ways of thinking behaving and working within our region. this function has a specific focus on M?ori educational achievement. There will be a particular responsibility in ensuring our teams are well equipped to meet the needs of mokopuna, rangatahi, wh?nau and iwi. Additionally, you will work with colleagues across the motu, and with the national Practice and Implementation Advisers, contributing to specialist skills to meet practice specific needs of all regions About you You will have a significant post graduate tertiary qualification, practice of the implementation of frameworks across organisations that support capcapability building and be a powerful function model with the capability to quickly develop high credibility across the region You will also offer very strong interpersonal, influencing skills, rigorous logic and the capability to deal with difficult problems. You will demonstrate the capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga. A deep knowledge of Te Ao M?ori plus fluency in Te Reo M?ori and practice in M?ori medium education would all be of advantage. You’ll be joining a small, high-performing team with a culture of constructive open-minded debate and working together to make an impact.
