Offer: Recovery Partner Mental Injury – Newmarket:ACC_hainesJob description:Job DescriptionPermanent opportunityFixed-term opportunity until – November 2021 »Key point of contact – partner with clients and whanau »Build supportive and collaborative relationships with clients and health sector providers »practice in the health sector – psychological services desirable Join ACC’s team dedicated to the delivery of specialised partnered service delivery to some of our most vulnerable and sensitive clients.The position of Recovery Partner works in collaboration with a range of service providers to deliver a holistic, client led approach to those that have mental injury due to sexual violence. Naturally, the function requires a unique set of expertise and characteristics to support complex client needs and deliver a client led outcome. You understand the importance of the first engagement your clients have with ACC and the complexity of managing clients through the most acute immediate engagement, working with them until their needs stabilise. practiced in the health sector, you will know how to apply your clinical knowledge in a way that is significant and purposeful to your client. You are positive, solutions focused and can navigate conflicting needs (at times), aligning activity and support to appropriate client led results. You will develop collaborative, professional relationships with clients and plan support that delivers the best results for your client; pivoting and adapting when required – driven by the client’s needs. You have an agile mind-set that allows you to engage with empathy, while maintaining a strategic lens, maintaining a client partnership that leads to an appropriate recovery, or adjustment to a ‘new normal’. Helping your clients progress towards their goals and results may involve a holistic approach; working with family/whanau and support people, community agencies and providers. You have the interpersonal expertise needed to adapt your communication and approach to meet the individual needs of your client. You demonstrate the significant personal resilience required to deliver this challenging work. Information you review and access will be confronting. You know how to maintain the balance of professionalism, empathy and an outcome focus to support your clients in the best possible way and stay aligned with their individual goals. This is a function that allows you to truly make a positive difference in the lives of some of ACC’s most complex and vulnerable clients.
