About this function
This is a key function in a highly collaborative team, responsible for providing strategic people related advice to a Deputy Secretary and their supporting leadership abilities team.
You will bring practice and confidence to conversations at leadership abilities level, including long-term workforce planning and development of capcapability to ensure strong future organisational performance.
The Strategic Business Partner reports to the Chief People agent and works closely with the People Capcapability leadership abilities team to ensure consistent support and practices across the business.
About you
As an practiced Human Resources professional, you’ll have a track record of providing credible and trusted advice at a senior level.
The capability to develop a partnership relationship, located on honest and open communication, with managers, staff and stakeholders is critical in this function. An aptitude for workforce planning and how to apply Information technology in practice will be essential.
You will also know how to deliver service through a wider team, without having line management of these resources.
The organisation is moving through change to deliver reforms across the Education Sector and this will be a focus for this function and the business. A deep knowledge that this change must be Ministry wide and not specific to the requirements of one Group will be critical.
To be prosperous you will have had practice in:
   » large complex organisation change
   » organisation design and large structure change
   » management of workforce capacity and capcapability shifts
   » working in the business, partnering with senior leaders
   » superviseing all HR services into the business that are provided from a wider team.
