As a Coordinator Care and Protection, you will be part of a team who is responsible for managing this complex and challenging process. This is a great opportunity to join a team as a Care and Protection Coordinator, working with our Transition Services team. This position sits within Christchurch regional office; however, you will be working across the Waitaha region. The main objective of the function is to facilitate a meeting that looks at creating a plan to support the young person to achieve their goals and work towards independence from Oranga Tamariki. The care and protection family group conference provides a forum forwh?nau and extendedwh?nau to come together with professionals and develop solutions for the safety and care for their tamariki and rangatahi with comprehensive consultation and preparation.You will be responsible for managing Family Group Conferences in conformity with the Oranga Tamariki Act. This is a challenging function, and you will require strong facilitation and mediation expertise to ensure all decisions are in the best interest for the young person’s safety and protection. You will be working with Rangatahi and their whanau suporting them to transition to independence. To be considered for this function, you will need to be a dynamic, agile and fast past coordinator who has well-developed practice in front line delivery and the capability to build strong strategic relationships. Having the capability to influence and motivate transformative change within a complex environment will be the key to your success. Having resilience, and to be self-motivated will also be advantageous.
