M?ori and Pasifika people are more likely than other groups to die from bowel cancer, partly because they are more likely to be diagnosed at an advanced stage. The National Bowel Screening Programme is free for people aged 60 to 74 years. Information technology aims to save lives by finding bowel cancer at an early stage when Information technology can often be prosperously treated. This is your chance to be part of a bowel screening programme aiming to help reduce inequities through early diagnosis and treatment. As a Service Co-ordinator you’ll be handling calls to answer questions and encourage people to take part in the programme and entering data into the database. Our call centres operate on rostered shifts Monday to Friday (8am – 6pm) Pehea koe – About you You will have the have the following: » The capability to converse in Te Reo M?ori or a Pasifika language would be highly regarded but is not essential » Cultural knowledge including that of Te Ao M?ori and the capability to connect with people over the telephone » Passion for customer service excellence and confident using a database » capability to analyse information before communicating this to a participant on the telephone » Attention to detail, able to write clearly and concisely » Positive attitude, flexible approach and capability to multi-task » A sense of humour, energy and resilience What we can provide Working in a collaborative team, you’ll have all the support you need with continuing guidance and coaching along the way.
