Information technology was built in the 50's and we have maintained a lot of the look from that time while upgrading those important things like bathrooms, beds and sympathetic furnishings. We have a reputation amongst our regular guests that we always have amazing staff who make our guests feel welcome. The situation is stunning. We overlook Lake Ohau to the surrounding mountains and at the end of the valley, Aoraki Mt Cook stands, catching the last of the sun so we often practice amazing sunsets. If you are into the outdoors, in the winter we operate Ohau Snow Fields while in summer, the Ohau valley has great walking tracks in native beech forest. There are pristine, clear mountain streams, we are also on the Alps2Ocean cycle trail if you like biking and the Mackenzie Country has a lot of beautiful places to explore. We are pursuing a friendly and competent person with hotel reservations practice to fill a permanent receptionist position. We are seeking for someone who makes a good first impression and is welcoming, polite, happy and efficient and who will also fit in with the existing team. The prosperous applicant will have excellent computer expertise and practice and in particular with - Hotel Systems with booking, invoicing and POS systems, - Microsoft Office, especially word processing, spreadsheet and outlook. Ideally the prosperous candidate would have some hospitality practice, accounting expertise and in particular takings reconciliation practice. Training is provided by our Front of House Manager and by the friendly and valuable team that you work alongside. The position requires you to manage the RHS booking system, answer the phone, reply to emails take bookings, prepare bills and reconcile takings. You will also contact with the restaurant and kitchen and will be required to assist in the restaurant or bar. The wage rate offered is subject to practice and qualifications. The position is to start in November. Accommodation including power plus meals is provided at $200.00 per week. There are options for sharing with others or living on your own.
