Your function will be to meet the Auckland Plan objectives with a focus on improving belonging and participation, inclusion and connection.
With passion and innovation your team will address the needs and priorities of the local board and local communities and provide a safe, professional and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
Among others, your day-to-day tasks will be to:
• Facilitate and grow staff, community and partner-led activity to deliver services including programmes and events that enhance identity, connect people and build a sense of belonging
• Undertake facility management, manage the recruitment and induction of staff, as well as the mentoring, upskilling and coaching of existing staff
• Provide people leadership abilities to develop our community-located staff for delivering excellence in visitor practices, ensuring through your work that Te ao M?ori is evident in all aspects of service design and delivery

He k?rero m?u: About you
You will have 5+ years leadership abilities practice in a customer service and/or community engagement setting, bringing with you your innovative thinking, strong stakeholder management expertise and an capability to build rapport with a wide variety of people.

You understand the importance of relationships with M?ori in T?maki Makaurau and have knowledge of local iwi and places of importance to them.
We are seeking for someone who can demonstrate:
• Well-developed people leadership abilities capabilities including embedding change within the team
• The capability to coach, develop and inspire others
• Working collaboratively to drive prosperous delivery across team
• knowledge of business management, financial management and evidence-located service planning, and reporting
• Strong commitment to customer service excellence and customer relationship management

Ng? ?huatanga kei a m?tou: What we offer
There are two functions available, one opportunity is currently located at the Titirangi Library (six-day service) requiring flexibility to work across the Wait?kere Ranges Local Board. The other function is currently located at R?nui Library (7-day service) requiring flexibility to work across the Henderson-Massey Local Board.These functions are permanent opportunities working 40 hours per week on a variable schedule.
