This is a full time permanent function, and requires Somebody with a level of seniority, or in the very least, the qualifications and the personality to step up into a position that will see you using all of your skills. You will be responsible for ensuring all systems and processes are compliant with NZ law, and that your team are working safely and productively. General tasks you will be responsible for: • Implementing and monitoring H & S Policies and responsibilities. • Liaising with managers and team leaders when doing the above. • Ensuring all H&S related policies and responsibilities are kept up to date and current and completed in a timely manner. • Identifying and organising training needs for all personnel in relation to H&S policy requirements. • Contractor Management in H & S Compliance You will be joining a team that has customer service staff, administrators and professional drafts people, warehousing, sales, factory and yard workers. this function ideally requires Somebody with practice across these areas in a blue collar industry background. You will be taking over from a currently very well managed H&S portfolio, so your requirement is to continue to make improvements, and add value to this very important space. The prosperous applicant needs to have a very good capability to work with all different areas of a business with no ego, and a degree of flexibility that ensures best results for staff and safety requirements. The right person will have a form of qualification appropriate to this function (H&S or Environment) and will enjoy working in a fairly male oriented environment.
