DC Team Manager
Location: Highbrook, Auckland
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 7pm
Are you an experienced leader looking for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the distribution centre environment? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our client's team as a DC Team Manager in Highbrook, Auckland
As the DC Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of 12 employees and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their distribution centre. Your primary focus will be to oversee and optimize daily activities to deliver exceptional customer service while meeting operational KPIs, improving safety performance, and enhancing distribution centre process.
Responsibilities
   » Lead and motivate a team of 12 individuals to achieve operational objectives and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
   » Oversee daily activities within the distribution centre, ensuring efficient and accurate order processing, inventory management, and timely dispatch.
   » Set performance targets and provide regular feedback to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
   » Implement and monitor operational KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and taking appropriate action to optimize efficiency and productivity.
   » Drive a strong safety culture, promoting safe working practices, conducting regular safety inspections, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
   » Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, warehouse, and customer service, to streamline processes and enhance overall performance.
   » Identify training and development needs of team members, providing coaching and support to foster their professional growth.
   » Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of adherence and quality assurance.
Requirements:
   » Proven experience in a leadership role within a distribution centre or logistics environment.
   » Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfilment processes.
   » Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
   » Demonstrated ability to drive performance, achieve targets, and continuously improve operational processes.
   » Sound understanding of safety regulations and best practices within a warehouse setting.
   » Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
   » Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
   » Flexibility to work the specified shift timings (10.30am to 7pm) Monday to Friday.
