The Royal New Zealand Ballet is a company of dynamic dancers from diverse backgrounds and presents a repertoire of classic and contemporary works across Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally. We're currently on the search for a full time Company Manager, located in our Wellington premises, reporting into the Director of People and Culture. this function is required to tour with the company (approximately 20 week of each year). In this function, you will prosperously organise all aspect of touring, including planning, touring schedules, travel and accommodation, venue liaison, FOH assistance, public relations and acting as the Company's representative on tour. Importantly, this function also provides health and safety, and pastoral care support for staff on tour. Day to day you'll be responsible for: » Tour Logistics - manage travel requirements, accommodation and payment of touring allowances. » Venue Liaison / Front of House - contact with theatre management and appropriate staff in all performance venues » Be the face of the RNZB front of house / on-the-floor at performances » Event Management - book requirements for RNZB events on tour in conformity with events briefs, working to an agreed budget » Forward planning - maintain and co-ordinate the master schedule of upcoming performances, events and other activities » Administration - administer and manage day-to-day touring matters » Coordinate venue bookings and contracting for future performances. » Ensuring that RNZB's duty of care to the touring party is fulfilled » Health and Safety - take leadership abilities with regards to Company touring health and safety matters Who and what are we looking for? » At least two years' practice working in an operations / logistics management or coordination function, preferably within an arts or arts-related environment » A methodical and systematic approach to scheduling and budgeting » Exceptional interpersonal expertise, able to manage relationships strategically and tactfully » Exceptional organisational and communication expertise » Strong customer service capabilities » Clean driver's licence » Demonstrates sound judgement and a cool, calm exterior when under pressure » Emotional intelligence What we offer » Ticket perks to our performances » Flexible working environment » Discounted gym membership » Investment in your personal career development and training » Being part of a globally recognised arts organisation, making a significant impact on Aotearoa New Zealand's cultural community. » Opportunity to travel within New Zealand How to submit the application: Come and join us: To find out more and apply, please visit rnzb.org.nz/careers.
