Position 1: We are pursuing an Enthusiastic, hard working person to assist us with cleaning at The National Equestrian Centre, Taupo . This could suit an individual who only requires work for a short time (minimum 3 month commitment required) however we are happy to offer permanent or long term options for the right candidates. We can assist with your Essential expertise visas & provide advice on working holiday visas if this is something you require. We are a roughly 90 acre property that is an Equestrian lovers dream, with horse events on most weekends & plenty to do & see. We are located just 10 minutes from the Taupo CBD & the stunning Huka falls so this position would suit a couple or an individual who is outdoorsey & loves to sight see. Day trips to MT Ruapehu & Rotorua are an easy drive & we are just 3 hours from Auckland Airport. If Mountain biking or skiing are up your alley this is definitely the place for you! We regularly run showjumping competitions, dressage, big events such as Equifest & much more & consequently need some assistance keeping our place clean and tidy & presenting all facilities to a high standard. We have a very small team of tight-knit staff so a close family dynamic & team environment is something we strive for. We have 3 main facility blocks that require cleaning on a everyday basis, and 3 small additional blocks in our indoor complex that require cleaning over the weekends (Friday-Sunday). Onsite we also have 7 basic portacabins (bunk beds, no facilities) & our judges cottage that are regularly turned over. The position is a minimum of 20 hours a week, however if you require more hours we have plenty of opportunities in the grounds department if this is something you would like to do. The more hours you can offer, the more diversity we can provide! We can gurantee 2 consecutive days off each week, during either Tuesdays and Wednesdays or Wednesdays & Thursdays. Hours of work would vary between 8am-2pm each day & evening/afternoon shifts are also available from 2pm-6pm. The ideal candidates will have: 1. Good written & spoken english (though please still apply if english is your second language as we are happy to work with whatever comes our way) 2. Clean full drivers license (any other licenses you have or capability to drive/operate machinary would be a bonus) 3. Horse practice is not required as you will not be working directly with horses, but ideally you need to be confident around horses and have lots of consciousness around animals as we regularly have large shows with lots of animals onsite at one time 4. A strong eye for detail & takes alot of pride in your work. Position 2: Part time weed-eating Minimum 10 hours per week, ensuring the grounds are kept very tidy using stihl equipment. All training can be provided however this can be a physical position so a decent level of fitness is essential. Hours can be totally flexible i.e morning or evening work in the summer & the position is Monday - Friday only so guranteed weekends off each week.
